Hello all;

I am in the process of writing a book series called "Nuclear Battlefield Germany". It is about all nuclear weapons deployed to West and East Germany during the Cold War.

Though my original idea was to make a kind of "tour guide" to various places, it needed context and soon the project grew too big to contain in it in one volume.

My target groups are veterans and everybody interested to preserve the memory (and madness) of the Cold War in Germany.

My first volume will be about cruise missiles: Matador, Mace and GLCM, as well as the Soviet FKR-1 and FKR-2.
George Mindling and Robert Bolton's book has been a great start as well this website, and the websites tacmissileers.org and mace-b.com.

My project is still in the phase of compiling information and draft writing, and I am still looking for a lot of information, pictures and personal stories as well.

I am also working on creating an accompanying website, providing detailed information on all locations.

I am especially looking for T.M.s en T.O.s to provide more technical background information, locations of the Matador Operating Locations/G&GS detachments, and details about missile/warhead maintenance.

One immediate question I have is about the location of Matador B Flight of the 405th TMS. It should be in the vicinity of Hochspeyer (and Hochspeyer Munitions Storage), but the GPS location I find, points me towards Enkenbach C Flight/Site II.

At the moment, I am grateful with all the help and information I can get. I will get back with additional questions later; anyone interested in reading draft parts or participating in this project is most welcome!

Thank you in advance,

Roland de Bruijn
